Custom Mouthguards
If your child participates in sports, having a custom mouthguard to protect their teeth and jaw from injury is important. Mouthguards are especially important for patients with orthodontic braces. First, we will create an impression of your teeth, then create a customized mouthguard fitted to your mouth for a more comfortable fit, easier breathing, and better protection. Preventing injury is much more budget-friendly than repairing the damage caused by facial trauma.
Custom Nightguards
We also create custom-fitted nightguards to alleviate the damaging effects of bruxism, a condition that causes clenching and/or grinding of teeth. The grinding of teeth causes additional, unnecessary stress on tooth surfaces and if not treated can lead to TMJ pain. Typically worn at night, these removable appliances can help provide relief from temporomandibular joint pain and other effects of grinding the teeth.
